How to Use the Ghastly Panic Font in CapCut
CapCut does not let you install custom fonts on iPhone or Android, so you cannot pick Ghastly Panic from its font list. The workaround everyone uses is to generate the text as a transparent PNG and add it as an overlay — it takes about a minute and works on every version of the app.

Can You Copy and Paste the Ghastly Panic Font?
Not as plain text — and it is worth knowing why. Fonts like Gothic or Cursive that you see in "copy and paste" tools are not really fonts at all; they are separate Unicode characters that already exist in the standard, which is why they survive a copy into an Instagram bio. Ghastly Panic is a genuine TTF typeface that redraws the ordinary letters A–Z, so there is no Unicode code point to copy. About the Ghastly Panic Font
Chad Savage hand-lettered Ghastly Panic in 2005 while watching the remake of Dawn of the Dead, and the influence shows: the letterforms lurch, the strokes drip, and the baseline never quite settles. It became one of the most downloaded horror typefaces on DaFont and still turns up every October on Halloween flyers, haunted-house signage, metal album art and TikTok edits. One caveat straight from the designer: it is built for headlines and titles, and it looks genuinely awful set as a paragraph — keep it short and large.

FAQ
Is the Ghastly Panic font free for commercial use?
Yes. Chad Savage released it as fully free — his Read Me says "free, and I mean FREE. Use it however you want, for whatever you want." No licence fee and no attribution required, though he does ask that the Read Me travels with the font if you redistribute it.
Can I copy and paste Ghastly Panic font text?
